Irfan Hafiz to join Congress

Srinagar, Aug 31(KNS): Prominent rights activist Irfan Hafiz Lone is poised to join the Congress party.

Lone is expected to join the party today and will likely be the NC-Congress alliance’s candidate for the Wagoora-Kreeri constituency.

As part of the seat-sharing arrangement between the National Conference (NC) and Congress, the Congress will field a candidate for the Wagoora-Kreeri seat, which includes areas from the former Sangrama and Pattan segments.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Lone, with his strong record as a member of the District Development Council Baramulla and his positive relationships with workers from various parties, is anticipated to be the Congress candidate for this seat.

Hafiz Lone, speaking to KNS, expressed his support for unity among political parties in J&K to advance a common cause for the region. (KNS)
