Minister Javed Dar will move name of Abdul Rahim Rather for Speaker

 Srinagar , Nov 3 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is set to convene on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. for a key session that will include the election of a new Speaker.

The  Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Election,  Javid Ahmed Dar, has put forward a motion nominating Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather, a respected member of the House, to take on the role, reads an LA Business copy which is lying with KNS and issued by Secretary Legislative Assembly Manoj Kumar Pandith.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The motion will be seconded by Member  Arjun Singh Raju.

Following the election, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir will deliver an address to the members of the Assembly. After the address, the newly elected Speaker will officially lay a copy of the Lieutenant Governor's Address on the Table of the House. (KNS)
