Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Pensioners United Front Holds Meeting in Handwara

Handwara, July 02 (KNS): A meeting of the Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Pensioners United Front (JKLPUF) held at Iqra Coaching Centre, Handwara, under the presidentship of Shiekh Bashir Ahmad, numerous leaders proposed suggestions to strengthen the union and address the genuine issues faced by pensioners.

The event was organized under the directions of Chairman of the Civil Society Forum cum Pensioners United Front, Ab Qayoom Wani. Central senior leader Mir Fayaz attended as the chief guest. He presented the agenda and elaborated on it, emphasizing that the JKLPUF is the voice for voiceless pensioners and has become a savior for those at the twilight of their lives. It was unanimously decided that a significant convention will be held at the district headquarters of Kupwara, and a committee was formed to outline the modalities for the upcoming convention.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

During his presidential address, Shiekh Bashir Ahmad stated that the Pensioners United Front will reach out to all pensioners and address their issues on a war footing basis. He expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiasm towards this noble cause. He also highlighted the dynamic leadership of Ab Qayoom Wani, describing him as a prolific leader capable of effecting substantial change.

Pirzada Shabir, President of the Civil Society Forum Kupwara, presented the welcome address, and Ab Ahad Bhat concluded the function with a vote of thanks. Arshid Mohiudin served as the dais in-charge. Other speakers at the event included Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Ab Majeed Mir, Gh Hassan Malik, Sayed Mehrajudin Geelani, Dr Gh Rasool Malik, Ab Qayoom Zargar, among others. (KNS)
