Srinagar, July 18 (KNS): As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, J&K Bank has donated a multi-purpose vehicle to the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB).

The Bank’s MD & CEO Baldev Prakash today handed over the keys of the vehicle to CEO (SASB) Dr. Mandeep K Bhandari (IAS) at Raj Bhawan in presence of Additional CEO (SASB) Rahul Singh (IFS) and other officials from the Bank and the Board.

Commenting on the occasion, MD & CEO Baldev Prakash stated, "We are honoured to support the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board in ensuring the well-being and safety of the yatris. This initiative underscores our commitment to community welfare and reflects our dedication to facilitating a healthy and safer experience for pilgrims."

CEO (SASB) Dr Mandeep Bhandari thanked the Bank for the goodwill gesture and said that the donation of multi-purpose vehicle was a significant step towards improving the transportation facilities along the challenging terrain of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra route.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Notably, by facilitating the transportation of yatris requiring medical assistance, this initiative aims at providing immediate health facilities to the yatris and contribute to their overall well-being. Additionally, the vehicle can be utilized to ferry essential yatra-related equipment and items to the base camps, thereby enhancing the logistical capabilities of the pilgrimage.

Meanwhile, the Bank commissioned a new Branch at Bhoond in Kathua district of Jammu. Cluster Head (Kathua) Parshotam Kumar inaugurated the branch along with Chairman (DDC Kathua) Col. Mahan Singh amid a gathering of valuable customers, local residents and Bank officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman (DDC Kathua) reiterated the people’s unwavering trust in J&K Bank and commended the Bank's commitment towards the economic development of people living across the UT of J&K.(KNS)
