J&K Government Reconstitutes Committee for Pilot Recruitment

 Srinagar, December 3 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has reconstituted a seven-member committee to manage the recruitment of new pilots and the extension of services for existing ones.

As per Government Order No. 2021-JK(GAD) of 2024, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the committee will be led by the Administrative Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department, with the Administrative Officer of the Civil Aviation Commissioner as its secretary. Other members include the Director General (Codes) from the Finance Department, the Director Finance of the Civil Aviation Department, a representative from GAD (not below the rank of Additional Secretary), the Additional Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department, and the Accountable Manager of the Civil Aviation Department.

The committee has been tasked with formulating eligibility criteria and qualifications for pilot and co-pilot recruitment, subject to the Chief Minister’s approval.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt will also define terms and conditions of service, including salaries, in consultation with the Finance Department. To ensure a wide reach, vacancies will be advertised in prominent newspapers, including two national dailies. The selection process will follow a transparent system, requiring final approval from the Chief Minister.

The committee has been directed to complete the selection process and recommend candidates within a stipulated timeframe to ensure efficiency and transparency. (KNS)
