Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Labour Commissioner held a virtual meeting on Wednesday with all the Assistant Labour Commissioners and Trade Presidents of Kashmir to discuss the enforcement of Sunday market closures.
During the meeting, it was decided that all shops in the region must remain closed on Sundays, with strict action to be taken against any violators. Representing the Handwara market, General Secretary Sheikh Shahzad assured that the Handwara market will fully comply with the Sunday closure order.
He stressed that all shopkeepers will adhere to the directive in both letter and spirit. This move is
expected to ensure uniformity in market operations across Kashmir, with authorities closely monitoring compliance to maintain order and support the decision.(KNS)
