J&K Sees Transformation Post Article 370 Abrogation, Train to Kashmir a Milestone: President Murmu

New Delhi, Jan 31 (KNS): President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the transformative changes in Jammu and Kashmir following the revocation of Article 370, calling the completion of the railway link to Kashmir a landmark achievement for the nation.


Speaking at the joint session of Parliament to commence the Budget Session, President Murmu stated, "Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed significant developments after the abrogation of Article 370. Over the past six months, the government has achieved record-breaking investments in future infrastructure."

She further expressed satisfaction over the completion of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway link, which now seamlessly connects Kashmir with Kanyakumari. Addressing national security concerns, President Murmu reiterated the government’s commitment to safeguarding the nation's borders and ensuring internal stability. "Historic steps have been taken to fortify the country's security and protect its borders," she affirmed.

She also emphasized India’s growing strength in defense manufacturing, stating, "The nation has advanced from ‘Make in India’ to ‘Make for the World’ in the defense sector." (KNS)
