J&K Showcases NEP 2020 Efforts at National Education Meet

New Delhi, July 29 (KNS): The prestigious Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2025 was held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, to advance the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the event, highlighting the Centre’s commitment to inclusive, innovation-driven education.

From Jammu and Kashmir, Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education Minister Sakeena Masood Itoo attended the programme along with Secretary School Education J&K Ram Niwas Sharma, Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G. N. Itoo, SPD Samagra Shiksha, and two UT topper students from HSS Pahloo, Kulgam.

Minister Itoo praised the efforts of officials and Heads of Institutions for ensuring mass participation in the “NEP Mela – Paigam,” which took the policy’s message to students, teachers, and communities across J&K.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Dr. G. N. Itoo said nearly 400 events were held in Kashmir alone, involving over 42,000 students, 3,000 teachers and HoIs, and thousands from the community. The events featured debates, discussions, and cultural activities to spread awareness of NEP 2020.

The presence of J&K’s officials and achievers at the Samagam reflects the UT’s active role in reshaping its education sector under the NEP 2020 vision.(KNS)
