Srinagar, 31st August (KNS): JK People's Party (JKPP) Chief Sheeban Ashai declared his candidacy for the Chanapora Assembly constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections.
in a statement issued here, he Emphasized the need for a strong pro-Kashmir voice in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Ashai criticized the past lack of representation and called for the rejection of BJP's policies, which he termed "nefarious" and detrimental to Kashmir.
Ashai highlighted the JKPP's commitment to transparency, recalling its 2022 manifesto as a testament to its principled stance. The JKPP leader accused local parties like PDP, PC, and Apni Party of betraying Kashmiris, and questioned Farooq Abdullah's role in the dilution of the PAGD, initially formed to restore Articles 370 and 35A. He stressed that the JKPP has always stood for justice, recalling their support for victims like Muslim Muneer and resistance against BJP's bulldozer policies.
Ashai urged Kashmiris to vote for candidates with genuine pro-Kashmir credentials and announced JKPP's support for like-minded, non-sponsored candidates opposing BJP across Kashmir.(KNS)
