JK Shia Association Holds Protest Against Genocide of Shias in Parachinar, Condemns Media Silence

Srinagar, Dec 26(KNS): All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association organized a protest in Imambara Zadibal to show solidarity with the Shia community in Parachinar and to condemn the ongoing violence against them.

The protest, led by Syed Adeel Musavi, saw hundreds of participants demanding justice for the victims of the Parachinar genocide and raising their voices against the government's indifference.

Syed Adeel Musavi, a leading voice of the All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association, delivered a strong condemnation of the Pakistani government's inaction in protecting the Shia minority. "The genocide of our brothers and sisters in Parachinar continues, and the government of Pakistan remains silent. This is not just an attack on the Shia community, but on the very essence of humanity," Musavi said passionately. "The failure to provide security to innocent civilians reflects a gross dereliction of duty."

In addition to his criticism of the government, Musavi directed his anger towards the media in Pakistan. "The Pakistani media, instead of raising its voice against the atrocities and genocide being committed, has remained disturbingly silent. It is the duty of the press to speak truth to power and to shine a light on injustice.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelBut instead, they have chosen to ignore the plight of the Shia community," he remarked. "This complicity, this silence, is unacceptable. The media must be held accountable for its role in perpetuating these crimes by turning a blind eye."

Musavi also expressed his deep concern over the availability of the book ‘The Satanic Verses’, describing it as a deliberate insult to Islamic beliefs. "This book is nothing less than a provocation. It is a calculated attack on the core values of Islam, and its availability in the market is a shameful attempt to stoke division and hatred," Musavi stated. "We, as Muslims, will never tolerate this blasphemy and will continue to oppose such acts of sacrilege."

The protest, which saw people holding placards and chanting slogans, emphasized the urgent need for international attention to the Shia genocide in Parachinar and for concrete actions to safeguard religious minorities in Pakistan. The All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association reiterated its commitment to justice and vowed to continue its efforts to raise awareness and demand accountability from both the Pakistani government and the media.(KNS).
