Srinagar Feb 08 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Saturday reviewed the organizational affairs and activities in all the districts of North & Central Kashmir districts at Srinagar Party headquarters with senior party leaders and functionaries.
The review meeting of districts falling in South Kashmir shall be conducted on Sunday.
The first phase of the review meeting covered Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, Srinagar, Ganderbal and Budgam districts falling in North and Central Kashmir, subsequently JKPCC President will review party activities in Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama Districts on Sunday.
Apart from organizational activities, District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents and Senior leaders gave feedback to JKPCC President with regard to socio-political scenario obtaining in their respective districts and also briefed him (Karra) about the issue confronting the public. On this occasion, Tariq Hameed Karra urged the cadres to take the programmes and policies of the party door to door vigorously and remain connected with people & make all efforts to resolve the issues they are confronted with. He said the Congress Party shall continue to fight for rights of the people and full statehood with constitutional guarantees to restore the dignity of J&K. We will not rest till the Centre Govt fulfills its promise of restoring Statehood to J&K, Karra added and reiterated Party’s commitment to continue working for inclusive development of J&K, which has suffered serious setbacks on every count due to the policies of BJP Govt at Centre.
Karra further suggested to Govt to make Administration address public grievances on priority including electricity tariff, smart meters, unemployment menace and various other developmental issues concerning them (public). People have been facing hardships since a long, they have high expectations, so there is a need to come upto their expectations, JKPCC President told the JK Govt.
