Tral March 16 (KNS): A Workers' Convention was held today at the Townhall in Tral, presided over by JKPCC Vice President, Surinder Singh Channi. The event witnessed a large turnout of local residents, Congress workers, and supporters. During the convention, Channi addressed various concerns raised by the people and discussed important issues affecting the community.
The primary focus was on the ongoing electricity bill issues faced by the residents. Channi criticized the discrepancies in power supply, highlighting the unfair treatment where large corporate players, with lakhs of rupees in pending bills, continue to receive uninterrupted power, while common people’s connections are disconnected over even minor dues. He stressed the need for fair and just treatment in this regard.
In his address, Channi also emphasized the development of tourism in Tral, recognizing its potential to boost the local economy. He assured the locals of his continuous support for the promotion of tourism, which he believes could provide significant economic benefits to the region.

The convention concluded with a sense of optimism as many residents voiced their support for the Congress Party, looking forward to a brighter future for Tral under its leadership.
