Bijhama, March 19 (KNS): A joint market checking drive was conducted by Police Station Bijhama, Executive Magistrate 1st Class Boniyar, the concerned Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO), and other officials in the Noorkhah area of Bijhama to ensure compliance with food safety and pricing regulations.
During the inspection, a bakery shop in Noorkhah was found using expired coconut powder and liquid cream. The checking team immediately destroyed the expired items on the spot, and the baker was fined ?5,000 for violating food safety standards.
Earlier, on March 17, 2024, a similar market checking drive was conducted in Bijhama and Mayan by Police Station Bijhama, along with the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, TSO, and CAPD officials.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSeveral shopkeepers were found selling expired daily-use goods, which were immediately confiscated and destroyed by the joint team.
In this operation, a total fine of ?20,000 was imposed on erring shopkeepers and sellers for violating market regulations.
