Srinagar, Dec 22 (KNS): The Kashmir Advocates Association convened a significant meeting at its head office in Srinagar under the leadership of Association President Advocate Waseem Gul. The meeting witnessed the nomination of a new district body for the Kupwara Bar Association, aimed at strengthening the Association’s presence and representation in the region.
During the session, Advocate Shafiq Ahmad Shah was appointed as District President/Convenor, while Advocate Waseem Raja Wani took charge as Deputy Convenor. Advocate Shabir Ahmad Bhat was selected as District General Secretary, and Advocate Mohammad Iqbal Khoja was named District Treasurer.
To handle media affairs, Advocate Waseem Sajad was appointed as District Media Incharge. Advocate Pirzada Shahid ul Islam will serve as Joint Secretary, and Advocate Najmu Sakib was nominated as District Coordinator.

The newly formed Kupwara district body reflects the Association’s commitment to fostering a robust legal framework and ensuring effective coordination at the district level. The President of the Association, Advocate Waseem Gul, emphasized the importance of unity among advocates and pledged full support to the newly nominated team for fulfilling their responsibilities effectively.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks, as members expressed optimism about the new team’s efforts to address the legal and professional challenges faced by the fraternity in Kupwara. (KNS)
