Srinagar, Oct 17(KNS): The Director of Tourism for Kashmir, Raja Yaqoob Farooq, announced on Thursday that all preparations are in place for the Kashmir Marathon, scheduled for October 20.
He confirmed that more than 2,000 registrations have been received for the event, with participants expected from across India and abroad. The marathon will feature two disciplines: a full marathon (42 km) and a half marathon (21 km). The marathon will begin at Polo View, passing through Cheshma Shahi Garden and concluding at the University Gate, while the half marathon will end at Nishat.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We are expecting some prominent personalities at the event, including Indian actor and producer Suniel Shetty, professional badminton player Saina Nehwal, and businessman Anil Ambani,” Farooq said.
He also said that the event is expected to be a significant sporting occasion for the region, attracting both local and international participants.(KNS).
