Srinagar, June 15 (KNS): As tensions between Iran and Israel intensify, nearly 1,500 Kashmiri students studying across various universities in Iran remain stranded, sparking growing concern among families in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the parents urged the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Ministry of External Affairs, LG Manoj Sinha, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to immediately intervene and ensure the safe evacuation of their children.
Rehana, the mother of a student currently in Iran, expressed her anguish in a conversation with KNS, “We let our children go, but now they’re stuck.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIraqis and Pakistanis have left, but our children remain. Nobody is asking about us. We feel abandoned,” she said.
Parents say students from several other countries have already been flown back, and the delay from Indian authorities is causing deep anxiety. They are calling for swift and coordinated action before the situation worsens.(KNS)
