JAMMU. AUG 10 (KNS: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Saturday called on people to participate in the upcoming campaign like Har Ghar Tiranga, Shramdaan for maintenance and cleaning of statues of Martyrs and freedom fighters and observance of Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas with great enthusiasm.
While chairing a series of meeting in this context, the BJP stalwart said that the aforesaid campaigns are a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering patriotism and unity among citizens. “The campaign which was started on August 9 and will last till August 15 is poised to encourage every household to hoist the National Flag on the rooftops”, he said, adding that this endeavour is not just about displaying the Tricolour but also about honouring the sacrifices of those who fought for the nation’s independence.

This act of respect is a way to remember and honour the heroes who laid down their lives for the country”, he said while revealing that August 14 will be observed as Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas. “The day will be marked by holding silent protests, reflecting on the suffering and sacrifices made during the partition”, he said and urged the public to participate in these activities to remember the pain of partition and to commit to unity and peace in the country.
The senior BJP leader emphasized that these activities are a means of strengthening the nation’s unity and remembering the values that the Indian flag represents. He called on every citizen to actively participate and make the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a resounding success in Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
