KP candidates need understanding for contesting particular assembly segments


Jammu, Aug 21 (KNS): The role of Kashmiri Pandits living in exile for last more thirty four years in ongoing Assembly Elections has become imperative in view of recently held Parliament Parliament Elections where their mass participation was witnessed that was widely appreciated by one and all.

In a statement issued today by Notable socio Political activist Vinod Pandita has appealed to all community members, KP organisations, Intellectuals and philanthropists to sit together and hold thorough discussions and confabulations for reaching an understanding to field only one candidate from a particular Assembly segment in Kashmir Valley where the decisive Vote Bank of Kashmir Pandits exist.

He further said that even those candidates who may be fielded by different political parties in particular assembly segments need also have this feeling that KP candidates contesting from that particular constituency reduces their vote bank and hence they must persuade their parties to take this important aspect into view so that division of KP votes is avoided.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Moreover the filling of independent canditaure should not be promoted as we r having a very thin and scattered vote bank in each Assembly Segment.

He urged all political parties contesting assembly elections to seriously address the issues of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, increase in monthly cash assistance, creation of new ten thousand jobs, compensation to overaged youth, construction of additional quarters fo kashmir migrants in Jammu etc in their election Manifesto.

Pandita impressed on community members to vote en- mass in the ongoing Assembly elections keeping in view their buring problems being faced by them in exile as well strengthen the base of democracy. (KNS)
