KPDCL encourages solar rooftop installations under PM surya ghar initiative

Srinagar, July 27 (KNS): The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) is actively promoting the installation of grid-connected solar rooftop systems through the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar scheme.

This initiative is designed to help residents cut down on their electricity expenses, advance sustainable energy practices, and take advantage of attractive government subsidies.

A KPDCL representative highlighted the key advantages of solar energy adoption: "Installing grid-connected solar rooftops allows residents to significantly lower their electricity costs while supporting a greener environment. The PM Surya Ghar scheme presents an excellent chance for households to achieve energy independence and benefit from substantial government subsidies."

As per news agency KNS the PM Surya Ghar initiative is a component of the national renewable energy mission, aimed at boosting solar energy use across the country. The KPDCL officials noted the streamlined application
