Srinagar June 15 (KNS): The Kashmir Trade Alliance today issued an urgent appeal to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, requesting immediate arrangements for the safe evacuation of students from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir currently studying in Iran, as the Tel Aviv-Tehran conflict continues to escalate.
In a statement released to KNS, Kashmir Trade Alliance President Aijaz Shahdhar expressed grave concerns about the safety and well-being of Kashmiri students pursuing their education in Iran amid the deteriorating security situation in the region.
"Many students from our region are currently enrolled in various educational institutions across Iran, and their families are deeply worried about their safety given the rapidly evolving situation," said Shahdhar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"We urge the External Affairs Ministry to take immediate action to ensure the safe return of these students to their homeland."
The Kashmir Trade Alliance emphasized that the students and their families are experiencing significant anxiety as regional tensions continue to mount. The Alliance called for the establishment of emergency evacuation protocols and coordination with relevant authorities to facilitate the swift and secure repatriation of all affected students.
"We appeal to Minister Jaishankar and the External Affairs Ministry to treat this matter with the utmost urgency. These young people are our future, and their safety must be our immediate priority," Shahdhar added.(KNS)
