Srinagar Dec 17:(KNS)Kulgam district has been honored with the prestigious title of "Best District of Union Territory" at the National level during the World Fisheries Day event held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This esteemed recognition highlights the district's outstanding contributions to the fisheries sector, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable practices and the empowerment of local communities.

The Fisheries Extension Incharge of Kulgam expressed deep appreciation for the acknowledgment, stating, "We are extremely grateful that our hard work has been recognized at the national level. This award reflects the efforts we have made to develop and promote the fisheries sector in Kulgam."
