Kupwara, Dec 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, chaired a meeting on the implementation of Udyam Jagriti under Mission Yuva at Batagund Mawer Qalamabad today. The meeting focused on the effective rollout of the initiative at the Panchayat level, aiming to promote youth entrepreneurship and sustainable employment in the district.
At the beginning of the session, the Assistant Director of Employment briefed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Udyam Jagriti and its potential to support the establishment of enterprises in Kupwara. The Employment Officer from the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC) also presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation, offering a visual overview of the initiative’s objectives and benefits.
Sudan explained that Mission Yuva has developed a user-friendly mobile application, "Youth Skill & Entrepreneurship App," available for free on the Google Play Store. This app is designed to assist young individuals in the process of entrepreneurship development, from the initial stages to the completion of their business journey. The DC emphasized that this tool would empower the youth of the district to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams effectively.

During the meeting, the DC directed all Tehsildars and Block Development Officers (BDOs) to conduct awareness campaigns throughout the district, ensuring that people are well-informed about Mission Yuva.These awareness camps are intended to maximize the program’s reach and impact across Kupwara.
Ms. Sudan stressed that the mission is aimed at fostering sustainable employment opportunities for the youth and encouraging entrepreneurship within the region. "The goal is to provide a platform for our youth to explore entrepreneurial ventures and contribute to the economic growth of the district," she said.
The meeting also included a detailed discussion on the mission’s implementation, with the DC urging all line departments to focus on key action points and understand their roles in achieving the mission’s objectives. She emphasized the importance of strong coordination among departments and stakeholders to ensure the program’s success.
Present at the meeting were ACD Muzafar Ahmad, CPO Parvaz, Tehsildar Mohd Ismail, BDO Nazir Ahmad, and other concerned officials.(KNS)
