Bandipora, Jan 29 (KNS): A leopard cub was captured alive by the Wildlife Protection Department in Gundiqaiser village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday morning.
Local told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that they spotted the leopard cub roaming in the area and immediately informed the wildlife department. A team was sent to the location, and the cub was safely captured.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Block Officer Wildlife Bandipora, Tanveer Ahmad Lone, said that the team ensured no harm came to anyone during the rescue. However, the cub had a few injuries and was taken to a nearby veterinary center for treatment.
“We will be shifting the cub to Dachigam National Park, where it will receive proper care,” he added.(KNS)
