Locals of Warwan Valley Thank CM Omar Abdullah for Fulfilling Promises of Relief

Kishtwar, January 7 (KNS): The residents of Mulwaran village in the remote Warwan Valley of Kishtwar district have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his swift response and fulfillment of promises made during his visit following a devastating fire that engulfed the village on October 14.

The tragic fire left several families homeless and caused significant damage to the community.

Speaking to the KNS, a local professor, Mazzafar Ahmed Wani, shared his appreciation for the immediate relief provided by the J&K government. “ Omar Abdullah visited us after the disaster and ensured that 2 lakh rupees were delivered to the affected families through the CM Care Fund. His prompt action brought hope to us during the difficult time.”

Residents also acknowledged the Chief Minister's efforts in addressing their concerns with the central government.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“ CM assured us that a letter has been sent to the Prime Minister, seeking additional assistance from the PM Care Fund,” he added. However, they expressed disappointment over the lack of central government support so far.

The villagers urged their MP, Jitendra Singh, to expedite central assistance for them. "We request him to work alongside the Chief Minister to ensure the PM package reaches us soon," another resident appealed.

While the immediate relief provided by the J&K government was appreciated, locals emphasized that the amount was insufficient to rebuild their lives entirely. They are now pinning their hopes on the promised PM package for further assistance. (KNS).
