Prayagraj, January 17 (KNS): As Mahakumbh 2025 unfolds in Prayagraj, drawing millions of pilgrims from across the globe, authorities have implemented cutting-edge measures to ensure the safety and convenience of attendees.
In an exclusive conversation with Basit Malik, Special Correspondent of KNS, Anurag Ranjan, District Information Officer and In-charge of International Media and Information Department, detailed the unprecedented security arrangements and technological advancements shaping this year’s event.
"A network of over 27,000 cameras has been deployed across the Mahakumbh grounds to provide round-the-clock surveillance. This extensive setup ensures crowd management, incident monitoring, and immediate response to any untoward situations," Ranjan revealed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also highlighted measures addressing a long-standing issue at mass gatherings: people getting separated from their families or groups. "Our security and tech teams are working tirelessly to prevent inconvenience. This time, no one will remain lost, as systems are in place to quickly reunite individuals with their loved ones," Ranjan assured.
Ranjan further informed that Mahakumbh 2025 is expected to witness an unprecedented turnout of around 40 crore people during its course. "We are fully prepared to manage such massive crowds, and we welcome people from all corners of the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, to come and participate in this grand spiritual gathering," he added.(KNS)
