Hanjiwera (Pattan), 15th Jan 26: All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association (AJKSA) today organised a Majlis-e-Aza and Marsiya at Imam Bargah Hanjiwera, which witnessed gathering in thousands of devotees from different areas.
The Marsiya recitation began at around 9:30 am, with several Zakireens reciting Marsiya and Nauha highlighting the sacrifices of Imam Musa Kazim (AS) and the spirit of Karbala. The main Majlis was recited at about 3:30 pm by AJKSA President Molvi Imran Ansari.
In his address, Molvi Imran Ansari spoke on the religious and spiritual significance of 22 Rajab, stating that Koonday Niyaz is a long-standing Shia tradition rooted in faith, niyyat, and charity, associated with the remembrance of Imam Ja?far al-Sadiq (AS). Responding to criticism raised against such practices, he remarked that questioning acts of devotion on the basis of dreams is selective, adding that believers also visit Jamkaran Mosque every Tuesday night, a practice accepted by the Shia world as an expression of spiritual belief and collective faith. He emphasized that many religious practices are sustained by collective belief and intention, not by rigid books alone.
Speaking on the life of Imam Musa Kazim (AS), Molvi Imran Ansari highlighted the Imam’s unmatched Sabr, silent resistance against tyranny, and unwavering loyalty to divine justice.

During the programme, participants were seen carrying pictures of Ayatullah Syed Ali Khamenei in solidarity with ongoing protests in Iran. Slogans in his support were raised. Molvi Imran Ansari stated that Ayatullah Khamenei is their Mujtahid and emphasized that this is where the red line is drawn, warning that anything directed against him by USA or Israel would face strong resistance from Shias across the world.
The Majlis concluded peacefully with collective prayers, remembrance, and supplication for the unity and safety of the Ummah.
