Man rescued from Tawi river in Jammu amid Rising water levels

Jammu, June 25(KNS): A man and three cattle were trapped in the Tawi River in Jammu on Wednesday following continuous heavy rainfall across the region.

A rescue team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) responded swiftly and carried out the operation.

SDRF officials said they were alerted by local residents shortly before the rescue and were able to reach the site quickly.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Om Parkash, who led the operation, said the situation was brought under control within minutes and confirmed that the man was safe, with no risk to his life.

Parkash urged residents to stay away from riverbanks and low-lying areas, citing dangerously high water levels and ongoing heavy rain.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
