Mega Police Community partnership Programme Held at Police Station Qalamabad

Handwara Dec 12 (KNS): Handwara Police on Friday organised a Mega Police Community partnership outreach programme at Police station Qalamabad in a handwara aimed at strengthening community engagement and addressing public grievances. The event was chaired by SSP Handwara Sahil Sarangal IPS.

The programme witnessed the participation of a large number of local residents, traders federation Qalamabad batagund, Nowgam civil society members, Auqaf and other representatives. Participants raised a range of issues related to civil administration, drug abuse, road connectivity, and civic amenities.

Several police-related matters were resolved on the spot. Issues pertaining to other departments were duly recorded, with assurances that they would be forwarded to the concerned authorities for prompt action.

Speaking on the occasion, ASP handwara underscored the importance of public cooperation in maintaining law and order, curbing drug abuse, and identifying anti-social elements.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The grievances raised by the public will be taken up with the district administration for immediate redressal. Police will extend all necessary legal assistance for the betterment of society, he said.

SSP Handwara shri Sahil Sarangal IPS said such meetings provide an effective platform for citizens to voice concerns and offer suggestions, thereby reinforcing the bond between police and the community. He further assured that such public outreach initiatives will continue in the coming months.

Locals appreciated the proactive role of handwara Police in tackling drug addiction and acknowledged their sustained efforts in maintaining peace and public order in the region.

The programme was attended by Lumberdars, Chowkidars, former PRI members, Masjid Committee/Auqaf representatives, traders federation Qalamabad/batagund/Nowgam transporters and other prominent citizens of the area.(KNS
