SRINAGAR, Oct 1(KNS): Mehbooba Mufti, president of the People's Democratic Party, has strongly condemned the Centre over the detention of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and 120 others from Ladakh.
They were marching to Delhi, demanding Sixth Schedule status for Ladakh, when detained at the Singhu border.
Mufti expressed her outrage, stating that the fundamental right to protest has been "snatched" from the people, and she stands in solidarity with the people of Ladakh. Wangchuk's 'Delhi Chalo Padyatra' began a month ago in Leh, and his detention has sparked widespread condemnation from opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, who termed it "unacceptable".Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
