Srinagar, Mar 27 (KNS): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the authorities' decision to bar prayers at Srinagar’s historic Jama Masjid on the auspicious night of Lailatul Qadr.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz stated that the Auqaf managing the mosque was informed by authorities that the central Jama Masjid would remain closed, preventing worshippers from observing prayers on one of Islam’s holiest nights.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
"It is extremely regrettable and condemnable that the insensitivity of those in power will deprive tens of thousands of Muslims, who for generations have visited Jama Masjid on this night, of spiritual solace and worship," he wrote, expressing deep grief over the decision.(KNS)
