Srinagar, Oct 4 (KNS): The Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid has announced that the restrictions on Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Umar Farooq, which had been in place since September 2, have been lifted.

The authorities conveyed this decision today, allowing the Mirwaiz to resume his religious duties, they said.

Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq confirmed that he would indeed be allowed to address the congregation today at the Jama Masjid.(KNS)
