In a post on X, Farooq said the court's decision was “welcome news” and expressed hope that the judgment would pave the way for justice in other similar cases.

The Mirwaiz claimed that since August 2019, scores of employees in Jammu and Kashmir had been dismissed in an “arbitrary manner” on similar grounds without departmental inquiries or an adequate opportunity to defend themselves.
He said such employees deserved due process, a fair hearing and access to justice.
“One hopes this judgment will pave the way for justice in other such cases as well,” Farooq said.
The remarks came after the High Court ordered the reinstatement of the bank officer, holding that the dismissal without a proper inquiry could not be sustained.(KNS)
