Ramsoo, January 7 (KNS): MLA Banihal, Mr. Sajjad Shaheen, convened a meeting today with Sub-Division level officers in Ramsoo to review the restoration works for roads, electricity, and water supply following the recent snowfall in the area. The meeting also focused on the status of ongoing developmental projects, including infrastructure, healthcare, Power Development Department (PDD), Public Health Engineering (PHE), education, and connectivity.
Emphasizing the importance of timely restoration, the MLA directed the concerned departments to expedite the work and ensure minimal disruption to public services during the harsh winter months. Officials were instructed to prioritize road clearance, restore power supply swiftly, and address water supply issues on a war footing.
In light of the challenging winter conditions, the MLA also held detailed discussions with officers from the Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD) department. They were directed to ensure adequate stocking of essential ration supplies across all depots in the region. The MLA reiterated their commitment to accelerating developmental projects, particularly those related to healthcare and education, to improve the overall quality of life in the region. Later in the day, the MLA conducted an extensive tour of Neel villages, engaging with local residents and taking stock of their problems. The visit provided an opportunity to directly hear the grievances of the people and assess the on-ground situation regarding public services and development.
