Srinagar, Oct 13 (KNS):organized a 3-day FAM trip to Gurez, a stunning valley renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and diverse adventure activities. A significant number of travel agents from the Kashmir division participated in the trip, which was flagged off by Honble MLA Farooq A. Shah, at Zabarwan Park on Saturday morning. Mr. Shah expressed his commitment to enhancing tourism in the region and wished TAAK success in this initiative.
During the trip, the TAAK delegation, led by President Rauf A. Tramboo explored various locations in Gurez to assess the facilities available in this emerging tourist destination.
Gurez has recently become a favorite hotspot for offbeat travelers, characterized by its vibrant culture, pristine rivers, and snow-capped mountains, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike.
The delegation held an interactive session with local stakeholders, including hoteliers, transporters, trade union representatives, camping organizers, and other service providers. Discussions focused on essential issues such as road connectivity to various villages, electricity access, adventure activities, cultural tours, and the quality of amenities and services in local hotels. Participants emphasized the importance of cleanliness and the need to safeguard and preserve both the natural environment and local culture.
President Rauf A. Tramboo stated that promoting Gurez is crucial for travel agents, as it not only expands their portfolios but also helps in developing sustainable tourism that benefits local communities. By highlighting Gurez's unique features and potential, travel agents can attract more visitors, thereby fostering economic growth in the region.
