MLA Langate Meets CCF to Discuss Key Issues

 SRINAGAR, Nov 18(KNS): Senior AIP leader and MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad met with Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Irfan Rasool (IFS) to discuss pressing issues related to the development and welfare of the region.

The discussions centered on promoting eco-tourism in Reshwari Bangus and Dooribal, with an emphasis on preserving the region's natural beauty and leveraging its potential for sustainable tourism. The MLA also proposed the establishment of a natural library to enhance awareness about the area's rich biodiversity.

Other key points of discussion included ensuring adequate firewood availability as winter sets in, timely supply of timber at depots to meet local needs and the effective implementation of the Forest Rights Act (FRA) to empower forest-dependent communities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
