MLA Langate Protests Outside DC Office Over Lack of Basic Facilities in Langate


Kupwara, Jan 6 (KNS): MLA Langate and Awami Itehad Party (AIP) leader Khurshid on Saturday staged a sit-in protest outside the Deputy Commissioner's office in Kupwara, accusing the administration of failing to provide basic amenities to the people of Langate constituency.

Speaking during the protest, Khurshid alleged that despite holding multiple meetings, the administration has failed to address the fundamental needs of the people. He pointed out a recent issue in which a damaged transformer in a village of Langate constituency led to the disruption of water supply.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelDespite raising the matter with the authorities and receiving assurances, no action was taken to restore the water supply.

The MLA also called for strict action against the Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Mechanical Departments of Kupwara, blaming them for the continued lack of essential services. He sought immediate steps to resolve these issues and ensure that the people of Langate do not continue to suffer due to negligence.

The protest gathered attention from local residents who supported the demand for better facilities. (KNS)
