Srinagar, March 29 (KNS): Apni Party Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir on Saturday expressed deep concern over the non-release of pending bills for contractors and urged the government to ensure the immediate release of contractors’ payments in view of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his statement, Mir said, “Many contractors who have already completed their work on government projects are being forced to run from pillar to post due to the non-release of their pending payments.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelUnfortunately, most of these contractors had borrowed money to complete their allotted work, assuming their payments would be released promptly upon project completion. However, they are now facing hardship due to the delay in payment.”
He further said, “I urge the government to ensure the release of their pending payments so they can celebrate Eid with peace of mind.”(KNS)
