Kulgam February 27 (KNS): Mohd Abas Rather, the DDC member from Qaimoh and a senior leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], has been elected as the State Secretary of the party in Jammu & Kashmir. His appointment was announced following the State Conference of CPI(M), which took place on February 17-18 in Jammu.
Speaking to the media after his election, Mohd Abas Rather expressed gratitude to the senior leadership for their trust in him. He emphasized that the position of State Secretary is not just a post but a huge responsibility. "The party has given me this responsibility, and I will work tirelessly to uphold the principles of CPI(M) and serve the people of Jammu & Kashmir," he said.
