Municipal Engineer Honoured with Republic Day Award for Exemplary Public Service

 SRINAGAR, JAN 26 (KNS) : Sajad Kawoosa, an engineer presently posted with the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, was conferred a prestigious award today at Bakshi Stadium for his outstanding performance in public service. The honour was presented on the eve of Republic Day in recognition of his exceptional dedication and professional commitment.

 
Renowned for his problem-solving acumen and prompt response, Mr. Kawoosa has a distinguished record of managing critical infrastructure projects. His portfolio includes the timely construction of several vital facilities, such as the District Court Complex in Pulwama, the Court Complex in Damhal, the IPD Hospital in Pulwama, the Unani Hospital and Unani Medical College in Ganderbal, and shopping complexes in Tangmarg and Anantnag.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
Kawoosa's expertise has been instrumental on multiple occasions at Bakshi Stadium. His role was particularly commended during a previous Prime Minister’s visit to Srinagar, when he successfully managed the dewatering of the waterlogged stadium venue, ensuring the event could proceed. Demonstrating the same resourcefulness, he again resolved significant waterlogging at the stadium as recently as January 23, 2026, preparing the grounds for today’s Republic Day ceremony.
 
Throughout his career, Mr. Kawoosa has consistently approached challenging situations with remarkable zeal and dedication, earning widespread respect for his contributions to public welfare and urban infrastructure. (KNS)
