Srinagar, Jan 9 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir ANC Senior Vice President Muzzafar Shah today made a scathing attack on J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over his disparaging remarks against the INDIA Alliance, drawing parallels to the collapse of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).
Shah squarely blamed the present NC leadership for PAGD’s dissolution, accusing them of sabotaging the very cause they claimed to champion.
"The same arrogance and conflicting views of Omar Abdullah and unfortunate helplessness of Farooq that derailed PAGD are now on display again. Instead of fostering unity, they stifled the efforts of other alliance partners in PAGD to fight for Jammu and Kashmir’s interests, ultimately damaging the path to restoration of Article 370," he said.
He further asserted that PAGD was destroyed from within, which prevented uniting of forces from functioning effectively.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"The failure of PAGD is entirely their doing and the consequences of that betrayal still haunts the people of J&K," he added.
Drawing comparisons to the INDIA Alliance, Shah claimed that the current NC narrative looks a calculated exit strategy, cloaked in conflicting statements.
"It’s a replay of PAGD’s demise with NC leadership unfortunately once again prioritizing self-interest over the collective good, exposing their underbelly," he said.
Shah also remarked that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are no longer naïve and such brazen narrative will only deepen public disillusionment and spark a new wave of political anger.
"You cannot hide behind hypocrisy forever," he concluded.(KNS)
