Nagrota By-Polls: BJP’s Holds Core Group Meet, Devyani Rana Emerges As Frontrunner, To Contest High Stake Battle

Jammu, March 20: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun its preparations for the upcoming by-election in the Nagrota assembly segment, which is expected to take place in April. 

The seat fell vacant following the demise of BJP stalwart and former legislator Devender Singh Rana.
While the BJP is yet to make an official announcement, sources indicate that the name of Devyani Rana, daughter of the late Devender Singh Rana, has been finalised to contest from this prestigious constituency, which has long been regarded as a stronghold of the Rana family.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The BJP’s election strategy was reportedly discussed in detail during a Core Group meeting held two days ago. The Party insiders revealed that the leadership focused on consolidating support and ensuring unity among the cadre ahead of the crucial by-election.

Party sources said that Divyani Rana has emerged as the frontrunner to contest from the crucial Nagrota seat. With election preparations gaining momentum, the BJP is expected to officially announce Devyani’s candidature in the coming days, setting the stage for a high-stakes electoral battle in the region.(KNS)
