Srinagar, Nov 14(KNS): National Conference (NC) Senior Leader and Provincial President, Showket Mir, expressed confidence on Thursday that all election promises made by the party would be fulfilled once Jammu and Kashmir's statehood is restored.
In an exclusive chat with Kashmir News Service, Mir ssid that the party’s dedication to addressing the needs and aspirations of the people.
“There is a visible change on the ground since the National Conference government came into existence,” Mir stated, underscoring the party’s efforts to implement its commitments. He highlighted that promises made by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Party President Farooq Abdullah will be honored, mentioning the restoration of the academic system as one of the first steps already achieved.
According to Mir, this measure received overwhelming support and was a key demand from the people.

Mir also expressed his intention to serve as a bridge between the administration and the people, facilitating solutions to public issues. Reflecting on his predecessor, Nasir Aslam Wani, Mir praised Wani’s dedication and welcomed his new role as an advisor to the Chief Minister.
Mir pledged to continue Wani's work and remain focused on meeting the needs of the community.
Mir reassured that he would take every possible step to address and resolve the concerns of the people, as the NC remains dedicated to its vision for Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
