Srinagar Apr 11 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Friday slammed LOP Sunil Sharma's comments regarding restoration of statehood to J&K, saying Sharma's remarks directly contradict the promises made by the Prime Minister during his election campaign visits to Srinagar and Jammu.
In a statement to KNS, released from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, party's State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar expressed his disappointment, stating that LOP's comments are a far cry from the commitments made by the Prime Minister and Home Minister to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Imran also referenced the promises made by Home Minister Amit Shah, urging for the swift restoration of statehood as pledged by the BJP central leadership.
He pointed out that the constant vague assurances of statehood being restored without a specific timeline are getting old, and it's time for action. Imran expressed hope that PM Modi will deliver on his promises, bringing back the much-awaited statehood to J&K.(KNS)
