Srinagar, Nov 12 (KNS): National Conference (NC) on Tuesday suspended its senior Vice President, Haji Mohammad Syed Akhoon, from the party’s basic membership for a period of six years. The decision was made by NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah following accusations of anti-party activities.
A formal letter issued to Akhoon by the Provincial President Kashmir, Advocate Showkat Ahmad Mir, outlined that the suspension was a result of actions deemed detrimental to the party’s interests.
“As directed by Dr.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFarooq Abdullah, President of JKNC, you are suspended from the basic membership of JKNC for a period of six years for your anti-party activities,” the letter read.
Akhoon has been a prominent figure in the NC for years. The party has not yet revealed further details regarding the specific nature of Akhoon's alleged anti-party actions. (KNS)
