Srinagar, October 17, 2024 (KNS) The NHM Kashmir Province Association convened a crucial meeting today in Srinagar, presided over by its president, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Parray. The gathering began with congratulatory messages for key leaders, including Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani Sb:Advisor to the Chief Minister,Dr.Farooq Abdullah, President of the National Conference and former Chief Minister, and Mr. Omar Abdullah.
During the meeting, several key demands were raised, focusing on the welfare and stability of NHM workers in the region. These demands included the regularization of contractual employees, the implementation of a transfer policy, and the introduction of equal pay for equal work. An employee voiced frustration, stating, "Despite our meetings and repeated demands for regularization," highlighting the previous government's inaction on these critical issues. The association further called for a 20% salary hike and immediate implementation of the transfer policy.
