Srinagar February 13 (KNS): Dr. Fatima Jalid, Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, has achieved a notable milestone with her feature in the newly released book "She Is - 75 Women in Chemistry".
This esteemed publication showcases the accomplishments of 75 exceptional Indian women who have made lasting impacts in chemistry and related disciplines at NIT Srinagar and beyond. Dr. Jalid's inclusion in the book recognizes her groundbreaking research and commitment to chemistry. As a distinguished alumni of NIT Srinagar, she graduated at the top of her class with a gold medal in 2015 and subsequently earned her Ph.D. from IIT Delhi.
Her research has been published in leading journals, and she received the prestigious Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award in 2018. This recognition underscores Dr. Jalid's contributions to advancing sustainable chemical processes and her role as a pioneer for women in STEM fields. The society will continue such faculty bringing laurels to the institute.
