Omar Abdullah Discusses Sopore, Kathua Incidents with Home Minister, Demands Transparent Inquiry

Ganderbal, February 12 (KNS):  Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called for a fair and transparent investigation into the recent incidents in Sopore and Kathua. 


Speaking to the media in Ganderbal, he revealed that he discussed both cases, along with the issue of J&K’s statehood, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

He also raised the issue of J&K’s statehood during his discussion with Shah. "Obviously, we talked about statehood. Right now, J&K is a Union Territory, and the Centre plays a crucial role. The budget session will be held on March 3, so we should wait for it," he added. (KNS)
