Omar Abdullah Government committed to faster development of remote areas: Sadhotra

 BATOTE FEBRUARY 09 (KNS):  National Conference Additional General Secretary and Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today reaffirmed the commitment of Omar Abdullah government to faster development of remote and far-flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir.


Interacting with people in Batote, Mr Sadhotra assured the people that the National Conference dispensation will take decisive steps to accelerate progress, improve infrastructure, and speed up the efficient delivery of essential services to enhance the ease of life for the citizens.

Sadhotra emphasized that National Conference remains steadfast in its mission to bridge the developmental gaps that have persisted in various regions, particularly in rural and underprivileged areas. He said that the party will work tirelessly to create robust infrastructure, improve road connectivity, enhance power and water supply, and strengthen the social welfare system to uplift the standard of living for all.

Mr. Sadhotra criticized the BJP’s ten-year rule in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that it had caused immense suffering to the people, both directly and indirectly. He highlighted the unprecedented economic distress, rising unemployment, weakening of democratic institutions, and neglect of public welfare under BJP’s tenure.

He assured that the NC government will take corrective measures to undo the policy failures and injustices inflicted on the people over the past decade.

Former Minister referred to priority accorded by National Conference government to Education, Healthcare, and Employment, saying efforts are being made to generate employment opportunities, encourage skill development, and promote entrepreneurship to tackle the growing job crisis in the region.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming mandate given to National Conference in both Assembly Seats of the Udhampur District, Mr. Sadhotra thanked the people for their unwavering faith in the party’s leadership and vision. He assured that National Conference will live up to the expectations of the people and work towards fulfilling their aspirations.

The Additional General Secretary National Conference also urged National Conference workers to intensify their engagement with the public, actively identify local issues, and seek redressal at appropriate forums. He emphasized that grassroots connect and collective efforts 
are crucial for achieving meaningful governance and ensuring that every section of society benefits from the government’s policies.

Reiterating National Conference’s commitment to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Sadhotra assured that the Omar Abdullah government will usher in a new era of development, justice, and prosperity.
