Pakistan's Terrorism Efforts in Kashmir Rejected by Locals: Ashok Bhan

New Delhi, July 19 (KNS): Ashok Bhan, a renowned Supreme Court lawyer and prominent Kashmiri leader, addressed a civil society function in New Delhi today, condemning Pakistan's ongoing policy of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that Kashmiris have overwhelmingly rejected Pakistan's terrorism agenda in favor of constitutional democracy.
According to statement, Bhan criticized Pakistan for promoting a proxy war and attempting to impose a regressive socio-cultural order on Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that despite being a Muslim-majority region, Kashmir has historically resisted bigotry and religious fundamentalism.
Discussing recent events, Bhan noted that while Pakistan's attempt to revive insurgency through the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Jammu's hilly terrains had some success on July 15—resulting in casualties among Indian Army soldiers—the resolve of the Indian security forces and local support remains strong.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe praised the valor of the army, police, and local residents who are working together to eradicate terrorism from the area.
Bhan assured that the patriotic people of Jammu will continue to fight against radical jihadi elements, and Pakistan's tactics will ultimately fail.
