Srinagar, Dec 23(KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari stated on Monday that “a Member of Parliament (MP) staging protests and writing open letters instead of speaking directly to his party leader shows a complete disregard for the common sense of the people.” He further said, “Such political gimmicks won’t fool anyone, as the people are intelligent enough to distinguish between genuine efforts and theatrical actions.”
Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari made these remarks regarding the proposed protest by NC’s Member Parliament, who announced that he would stage a protest outside the residence of NC’s leader and CM on Gupkar Road today, demanding fairness in the reservation policy.
Earlier, in October, the MP wrote an open letter to the Chief Minister and his party leader in which he highlighted certain public issues and suggested several measures for the welfare of J&K and its people.
Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, while terming the actions of letter-writing and resorting to protest by the MP as “political gimmickry,” said that “people cannot be fooled by such theatrical actions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
In his statement, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “It shows a complete disregard for people’s common sense when an MP, instead of directly talking to his party president to advocate for public demands, opts to write an open letter and stage protests against his own party leadership.”
“The days of such political gimmickry are long gone. People are intelligent enough to distinguish between genuine efforts and theatrical actions,” he added.
Apni Party president has urged the NC leader and MP not to undermine public intelligence. He said, “Underestimating the intelligence of the people, which far exceeds your own, is both unwise and disrespectful.”(KNS).
